Thrust and Parry

Three men watching sports on TV and playing dominoes in Cleveland, Ohio, got into an argument. One, a 48-year-old man identified only as “Cowboy,” accused another man, 44, of having “homosexual tendencies.” That man said that “several” in the neighborhood had told him that Cowboy had “homosexual tendencies.” Outraged, Cowboy started beating on the other man until the third man broke things up. Not appeased, the two men agreed to take their fight outside. As the 44-year-old waited, Cowboy popped into his house for a weapon, and came out with a two-foot sword. He hit the other man with the sword several times until that man said he was calling the police, and Cowboy ran. (RC/Cleveland Plain Dealer) ...No surprise: a sword is a phallic weapon. Even less of a surprise: it was particularly short.
