Tidy Case

When Ross Lebeau, 24, was arrested, accused of having nearly half a pound of meth in his car, the Harris County, Texas, Sheriff’s Office told the media it “may have kept our children and loved ones free from being introduced to drugs.” Now, “I would like an apology,” Lebeau says. What a field test told deputies was meth was, in fact, kitty litter, and the charges were dismissed. “Ultimately it might be bad budget-cutting testing equipment they need to evaluate,” said his lawyer. (AC/KTRK Houston) ...That equipment, like the “drugs,” belongs in the cat box.
