Time Out(side)

A citizen who said he’d seen a little girl in timeout — she’d been disrupting hehr class by screaming — told the police about it. The timeout, the citizen said, wasn’t just out of the class: it was out of the KinderCare building in Eagan, Minn., where, according to authorities, it was 3 degrees (–16C) outside. The girl is 4 and, the citizen said, was not wearing a coat. The police and the State Department of Human Services are investigating. Eagan police officer Aaron Machtemes said that whether charges would be filed would depend on a variety of factors, including “how out of control the child was.” (AC/KMSP Eden Prairie) ...How “out of control” do you have to be to deserve to freeze?
