What Is Kansas Smoking?

The drugs the Veterans Administration gave Raymond Schwab, 40, for the physical and mental pain he brought back from Iraq made him worse, he says. So the honorably discharged U.S. Navy veteran transferred from a VA job in Kansas to one in Colorado: medical marijuana, he thought, could help him, and it did. But as he and his wife were preparing to leave Kansas, his mother-in-law took five of his kids, ages 5 to 16, to a police station, claiming they were abandoned. Now Kansas authorities are demanding he give up the drug that helps him, even though he lives in Colorado, where it is legal. Until he does, Kansas says, it’s keeping his kids. (AC/Denver Post) ...In the legislature. Please keep them in the legislature. How much worse could they be than people who think this is OK?
