Who Is the Monster?
Detective Sgt. Moses Marquez says he believes Damon Perry’s account of Christopher Paquinn’s death. “He genuinely felt,” said Marquez, “that his friend was changing into a zombie due to his inebriated state.” Perry, 23, even thought Paquinn — with whom he’d been on a “Walking Dead” TV show binge — was trying to bite him, he told Grants, N.M., police. Still, said Marquez, “there are some things in this case I don’t think we’ll ever know, like when the microwave was used, when the guitar was used, and when the knives came into play.” But whatever the sequence, authorities say Perry attacked Paquinn with fists, feet, knife, microwave, and electric guitar. He has been charged with murder. (AC/KOAT Albuquerque, KOB Albuquerque) ...The only brain-eating monster in the room was the usual one: too much booze.Original Publication Date: 01 November 2015
