Jessica Carlton, 44, of Grand Rapids, Mich., met a guy she liked via her son’s Xbox Live gaming account. The first problem was, the guy she liked lived in Union County, N.J. — 750 miles away. The second problem was, the guy was only 11 years old. Carlton allegedly engaged in video chats where she and the boy weren’t wearing clothes, and drove to see him in a school play — and have sex with him, prosecutors say. The mostly online affair went on for two years, and Carlton allegedly kept a journal to “memorialize her sexual fantasies” about him. When the boy’s mother found out, she called police, who posed as the boy on Xbox to confirm the story. She has been extradited to New Jersey to face charges of attempting to lure or entice a child, and 12 counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
