You Forgot Your Paperwork

A resident at a mobile home park near Oklee, Minn., called police after discovering a plastic bin with what appeared to be pipe bombs inside. Red Lake County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded and found six steel pipes, with attached wires connected to 9-volt batteries and a kitchen timer. They also found two 1-pound containers of gunpowder, a bag with more 9-volt batteries and toggle switches, and a receipt for fuses. The receipt had the name and address of the apparent buyer: Eric Reinbold. The nearby mobile home is owned by his relative. According to deputies, Reinbold, 41, called several family members during the investigation, telling them “something to the effect of ‘get the cops off your property because there is nothing there that can hurt anyone.’” He was arrested and charged with possession of an explosive or incendiary device, a felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison. He was also charged with violating his probation: two years ago, he’d been given a stay of adjudication and five years on probation after pleading guilty to endangerment of a child by firearm access, and second degree assault. (MS/Duluth News-Tribune) ...Hope the court kept the receipt.
