A Turkey and Some Mistletoe
William E. Robinson, 66, went to the mall to get mistletoe, and was surprised to find himself arrested. According to the police report, Robinson had been attempting to obtain the plant, a parasite which grows in trees, by shooting it out of the branches with a double-barreled, 12-gauge shotgun. Robinson told police this is how he usually gets the customary Christmas decoration — although he conceded that Georgia’s North DeKalb Mall was not where he usually went to do it. He was charged with reckless conduct and discharging a weapon.
