Abusive, AFAIK
After her son was so ill from flu that she had to take him to the emergency room, Anne King vented her frustration on Facebook: she posted privately to friends only that she was “feeling overwhelmed. That moment when everyone in your house has the flu and you ask your kid’s dad to get them (not me) more Motrin and Tylenol and he refuses.” A friend sympathized, calling him a “POS.” King’s ex-husband, Washington County (Ga.) deputy sheriff Capt. Corey King, didn’t like being dissed, and demanded that his ex take the post down. She did, but Capt. King wasn’t satisfied: with the help of another department captain, he filed a criminal complaint against his ex-wife and her friend, charging “criminal defamation of character” — a law that the state Supreme Court ruled in 1982 is unconstitutional. The two women were arrested, but the charges were dropped when the law was found to be invalid. Mrs. King is now suing the two captains for abusing their authority, and violating her civil rights. (RC/Atlanta Journal-Constitution) ...Which is the sort of thing POSs do.Original Publication Date: 18 March 2018
