When Ruth Parker of Carbondale, Ill., turned 101 years old, she celebrated by going to her favorite eatery, where she has been going regularly for 18 years: Taco Bell. “We celebrate every birthday here,” Parker said, adding she has tried “just about everything” on the menu. How does that set with her? “I feel alright for being 101, I guess.” She says she likes a place where she can sit and read the newspaper with a cup of coffee. “They said ‘we don’t sell coffee’,” she said. They accommodated her anyway: “one of the help brought instant.” She plans to go back next year. (RC/CNN, CBS) ...Which is more than enough warning for them to plan ahead and have some real coffee ready.
