Another Week, Another Social Media Crime Lead
The post to Snapchat was startling and graphic: a 35-year-old murder victim shot and killed in his car outside an IHOP restaurant in Memphis, Tenn. The caption: “I just killed a Mfer 10 minutes ago.” The alleged poster, Sebastian Vaughn, 16, was arrested and charged with second-degree murder. A local TV station reports that some people say the post “is just another reason social media needs to be regulated.” (RC/WMC Memphis) ...What, and make these crimes harder to solve?Original Publication Date: 17 July 2016
