Busy Body

Tammy Leggett of Daytona Beach, Fla., says police “can only do so much,” so she figures it’s up to her to deter drug dealers in her neighborhood. She ticks off the issues: “Meth, heroin, drug paraphernalia....” Since calling the police doesn’t seem to help (“There have been 75 phone calls, 911 and non-emergency numbers, since January, that I have made.”), she installed 15 security cameras, and makes sure the “drug dealers” know about them: “Don’t park here to buy your drugs,” says a sign on her front lawn. “Your dealer is across the street. Smile for the camera.” She is also keeping a time-stamped log of the goings on across the street. “It’s constant in and out traffic over there,” she says. (RC/WKMG Orlando) ...Oh, so prostitution too.
