Call a Druggie

Moe Rosoff, 85, lived by himself in Boynton Beach, Fla. During a post-hurricane power outage, he suffered an injury. His son asked the county sheriff’s office to check on him, so the key code for Rosoff’s garage went out over the police radio. That, the family says, is where Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Deputy Jason Cooke heard it. They say surveillance video caught Cooke breaking into the house later, where he stole money, jewelry, and prescription drugs. Then, the family says, the sheriff’s office let Cooke go through a 30-day drug rehab program before arresting him. The charge: burglary and grand theft — with a firearm. (AC/WPLG Miami) ...So now we need surveillance cameras to protect us from the police.
