An Orange by Any Other Name
Donald McGovern, 80, of Tallahassee, Fla., has long been a fan of presidential names, as evidenced by his two sons, who both have the middle name “Kennedy”. He was always disappointed that he shared his last name with the defeated Democratic candidate George McGovern, and was thrilled when a candidate who shared his first name became President. “Because I totally, totally believe in the man,” McGovern said. “Because I totally believe in his forwardness.” So much so that before the inauguration, McGovern had his middle name legally changed from “Charles” to “Trump”. Donald Trump McGovern is proud of the president he’s named himself after. “He will be recognized, I hope, not only by this country, but by the world, as a true, true, leader of leaders.” (MS/Tallahassee Democrat) ...You can find him at his new Twitter handle: @TheRealMcGovern.Original Publication Date: 12 November 2017
