During the morning rush hour, someone spotted a suspicious item near a highway in Portland, Ore., and called police. Officers stopped traffic and investigated the suspicious ...diorama. The open cardboard box was decorated with a flannel shirt, tomato seeds, a light, a mouse, and something fuzzy and orange. While police did not immediately determine the intended point of the diorama, witnesses noted that the display had been there for a week or more, and the cops, realizing it was not a weapon of mass destruction, left it in place.
