“Care homes” in the United Kingdom need to work harder to get grandchildren to visit the elderly, says Care Home Minister Caroline Dinenage. Since there are “incredible online tools to help people and trigger memories and for therapeutic things” for those with dementia, she said, care homes should prioritize getting online. Plus, “WiFi actually can encourage your grandchildren to come and visit,” she says. (RC/London Telegraph) ...Perfect: that way kids can ignore grandma and grandpa in their presence, too.
