Dont Worry, Bro

According to the Sacramento County (Calif.) district attorney’s office, Elijah Lambert, 21, and Miguel Martinez, 19, were hanging out with some friends at Bannister Park in Fair Oaks. Martinez was wearing a “bulletproof” vest and Lambert said he wanted to test the reliability of the vest. So, according to witnesses, Labmert pointed a handgun at Martinez’s chest, said, “Don’t worry, bro,” and pulled the trigger. Lambert was arraigned on murder charges; he is a felon who was prohibited from possessing a firearm. “We do not believe the suspect intended to kill the victim,” a sheriff’s spokeswoman said. “But that was a consequence of his actions.” Martinez’s brother, Tom Cline, said his sibling “did not deserve this death,” and “I want everybody to know Miguel Henry Martinez was a good boy.” (MS/Sacramento Bee, KXTV Sacramento) ...Good boy, probably. Smart, somewhat less likely. Good judge of character, definitely not.
