Driving off in a Huff
Julie Dick-Carson of Huntingdon, Pa., lost control of her car, crossed five lanes of traffic, and crashed into an embankment. Firefighters rescued Dick-Carson and her infant son, who was in the back seat, and flew the infant to a nearby hospital where he was treated for a skull fracture. Authorities say they also found a can of Ultra Duster between Dick-Carson’s legs, and she was under the influence of difluoroethane, which came from the chemicals in the can. When she was asked if she’d been huffing the duster before the crash, she answered, “I don’t think so.” (MS/WJAC Johnstown) ...Since she didn’t think before, why would they expect her to think after?Original Publication Date: 23 October 2011
