Explosive Revelation
The 911 call in Hockessin, Del., reported that a “TV caught fire and blew up.” Fire crews arrived to find the house smouldering, and a chunk of the back corner of the house blown away. The fire was quickly extinguished, but the incident caused about $40,000 of damage to the house, owned by the former police chief of New Castle County. The cause is still a mystery. “It was large enough of an explosion to blow out the back of the house,” concluded Hockessin Fire Chief Quint Saienni. “We know it’s more than just a TV.” (RC/Delaware News Journal) ...That depends on what show was on.Original Publication Date: 20 January 2019
