Fire Sale

John Colone, the unofficial mayor of the unincorporated hamlet of Hell, Mich., announced that because the sale of the town has fallen through, he’s dropping the price to $900,000 — $99,666 off the previous asking price. The 5 acres of “prime commercial property” he’s selling includes several businesses, and the rights to several Hell-themed slogans. Like what? Hell’s Chapel of Love, Screams Putt-Putt Golf Course, and the Hell Hole Bar. He has already sold the Dam Site Inn, which will be renamed the Hell Saloon. Things are booming in the Hell area, Colone notes: a $26 million camp for terminally ill children is under construction, and an assisted-living complex is about to open. Colone says to get Hell sold, he’s “willing to work with anyone.” (RC/Livingston Daily) ...The Devil you say!
