Great Irresponsibility
Angela K. Kipp, 35, had her car in reverse. She was just leaving her driveway in Syracuse, Ind., with her son in the back seat, when she noticed a spider on her shoulder and, the Kosciusko County sheriff’s office said, got the hell out of the Dodge. Her son climbed into the front seat to stop the car, but, being 9 and ineligible for driver’s ed, hit the wrong pedal. The car accelerated into a school bus. Authorities found the boy, his head somewhat injured, lying outside the car; he was sent to a hospital.
