Hard To Believe He Lived Through This
Police in San Francisco, Calif., got a report of an armed robbery in progress. They arrived at the small neighborhood market and sure enough, there was a man inside wearing a ski mask, holding a pistol. “Drop the gun!” an officer ordered. But the man simply replied, “It’s a movie!” The officers “got really upset,” said the owner of the market, Ade Saba. “They wanted him to drop the gun, but the guy didn’t take it seriously because he knows it’s a plastic gun” — because there really was a Japanese TV show filming in the store. Once things settled down, officers told filming coordinator Yasmine Yoshida “when they see someone running around with a gun, they usually just shoot,” she said. “They don’t ask any questions.” Yoshida said the company had all necessary permits, and wasn’t required to notify police of the filming because they were on private property. “We did everything right.” (RC/San Francisco Chronicle) ...Well, except the dropping-the-gun part.Original Publication Date: 01 January 2012
