He Needed Something
A drunk Rhode Islander in Florida’s Keys couldn’t find his — keys, that is. But he “needed something to drive.” Fortunately — or not — he knew how to drive a forklift, he said. So, according to Monroe County police, Edward Quinton stole one from a marina. It didn’t matter that he broke the fence, he told police: he was “a genius” and could repair the gates. The genius, 44, was jailed to face DUI, burglary, and miscellaneous other charges.
