Alexandria Vera, 24, a teacher at Stovall Middle School in Aldine, Texas, faces 25 years to life in prison after allegedly having sex with a 13-year-old student “almost daily” for nine months. Vera didn’t hide the relationship from the boy’s parents: she says she was introduced as “his girlfriend” at the school’s open house, and his parents not only invited her to family gatherings, they were “very supportive and excited” when they found out she was pregnant by their son.
