Jackie Oh My!

Auctioneer Sotheby’s expected the sale of items from Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis’ estate would fetch maybe $4.6 million, tops. But bidding quickly sent prices skyrocketing: a $3,000 rocking chair sold for $453,500; JFK’s golf clubs fetched $772,500; JFK junior’s high chair and Caroline’s rocking horse each brought $85,000; and JFK’s humidor sold for $574,500. The sale grossed $34.5 million. (RC/AP) ...Americans are willing to buy anything “Kennedy” except for Ted’s explanation of what happened to Mary Jo Kopechne in Poucha Pond.
