Kill It with Fire

A West Seattle, Wash., man did not wish to share his rented home with a spider, so when he encountered it in his laundry room, he went after it with spray paint — and a lighter. “The spider tried to get into the wall,” said Kyle Moore, spokesman for the Seattle Fire Department. “He sprayed flames on the wall, lit the wall, and that extended up to the ceiling.” The house was damaged to the tune of $40,000. The man fled the fire after failing to control it, and the Red Cross was trying to find him temporary shelter. And as for the spider, Moore said, it “probably” died. (AC/KOMO Seattle) ...Either way, the man is no longer sharing his home with the spider.
