Liquid Stupidity

After a burglary at a pub in Accrington, Lanc., England, the owner reviewed security camera video to see what happened. The burglar, later identified as David Douglas Greaves, 43, took two cash registers and several large-screen TVs outside, and then went in to grab more loot. “While he does so, two people see some of these items and make off with the defendant’s swag,” prosecutor Stephen Parker told the court. He added that police don’t think the two other thieves were working with Greaves “by the look of confusion on the defendant’s face,” which could clearly be seen on security footage. Greaves pleaded guilty to burglary. “He’s an unusual character,” explained his defense attorney. “He is really rather an intelligent man but is really in the grips of alcoholism.” (RC/Accrington Observer) ...Wait: so he’s saying “drunk and stupid” isn’t redundant?
