Offisher

Mike Muley knows something about drunken misconduct by Florida police officers — or maybe not. He testified against ex-cop Derick Kuilan, who was accused of getting drunk, taking a civilian for a joyride on a Miami Beach Police ATV, crashing it, and injuring two people. But Kuilan was acquitted of drunk driving (though convicted of reckless driving), and Muley, the sergeant who’d been Kuilan’s supervisor that night, was demoted for bad supervision (though arbitration restored his stripes). Now Muley himself is being investigated. An anonymous caller alerted Miami Beach police to a uniformed sergeant working as security at a nightclub while drunk, and police said they collected Muley at the club and took him to a hospital for testing and treatment. (AC/WSVN Miami) ...That’s better supervision than Muley provided when he thought Kuilan was drunk.
