Needs Attention

A woman arrived at the Federal Center in Denver, Colo. — a multi-building complex including federal courts — stepped up to the security checkpoint, and put a backpack on the floor. “There is a bomb in the bag,” she allegedly announced to the guards. What? they asked. She repeated the statement, and the guards took cover and called for backup. The entire Center was locked down and the bomb squad removed the backpack to the street and detonated it. There wasn’t a bomb inside, police say: mostly documents, including her birth certificate, driver’s license, and tax forms, but also some “cellphone paraphernalia” and wires. Jessica Ciccocioppo was arrested. (RC/Denver Post) ...There is a bat in the belfry.
