Negative, Ghost Rider, the Pattern Is Full
A sheriff’s deputy saw a red helicopter take off and fly above a busy Kissimmee, Fla., highway — two feet above the cars on the road, according to the resulting report. The deputy went to Orlando HeliTours pad where the helicopter came from. When the pilot returned the deputy asked the pilot, Thomas Vorstman, 31, to get out of the helicopter. Vorstman said he couldn’t: his passengers had disembarked and another set boarded, so he allegedly took off again. When he returned with those passengers, Vorstman got out and spoke to the deputy, explaining that he was flying low because he “had a heavy load,” the report said. Vorstman was fired — and arrested, charged with operating an aircraft in a reckless manner, and resisting arrest. (MS/News 13 Orlando) ...At the trial, he’ll be blaming his helicopter parents.Original Publication Date: 14 August 2016
