No Gun Control Here

Two handguns and other police property were stolen from the car of an off-duty Los Angeles County (Calif.) Sheriff’s deputy. Later that day, deputies in San Bernardino County found one of the guns during a vehicle search during a traffic stop. The driver was arrested, and detectives went to question Kimberly Torres, 20, whose name was on the registration. According to police reports, while the officers talked to Torres, her 3-year-old daughter walked out of the bedroom carrying a handgun, which she then pointed at the detectives. The detectives took the gun and found that it was not only loaded, but its serial number showed that it was the other stolen gun. A search of the home found the majority of the allegedly stolen property, as well as another stolen firearm, and Torres was arrested. The girl was placed into the care of Child and Family Services.
