None So Blind

Helen Keller is no longer someone Texas students must be taught about: the state board of education voted to strike her name from the official curriculum. “There’s too many” people, said one teacher who participated in the curriculum revision process. But although he was recommended for removal, the board kept Billy Graham on the list. And, while removing “holding public officials to their word” from the fourth grade curriculum as “not being grade appropriate” (but keeping it for first graders), the board kept Moses on a list of “individuals whose principles of laws and government institutions informed the American founding.” (AC/Dallas Morning News) ...So was it Moses who said “it does me no injury for my neighbour to say there are twenty gods, or no god”?
