Armadillos are continuing to fight back against people who shoot them (see “Oh, Shoot” in This is True #1089, 26 April). This time it’s in Marietta, Texas, where a man says he shot an armadillo just before 3:00 a.m., but the bullet bounced off its shell and hit him in the head. The unnamed man said he “felt compelled” to shoot the animal when he saw it on a highway. The man was treated for minor injuries.
