Plenty More in His Pic-a-nik Basket

A visitor to a state park in Humboldt County, Calif., ran across a state park ranger — on duty, but asleep in his patrol car. The visitor tried to wake him up, but couldn’t. Perhaps the open can of Keystone Light beer between the ranger’s legs was part of it; the visitor snapped a photo, and called 911. By the time the nearest law enforcement officer could check things out, the ranger had awakened and driven away, but the California Highway Patrol caught up with the ranger and pulled him over. Tyson Young, a 10-plus-year veteran ranger, was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving, and turned over to his supervisor, who suspended him pending a full investigation. (RC/San Francisco Chronicle) ...Apparently there were unresolved questions, like how could he drink Keystone Light when there are so many good microbrews available?
