Possession Is 9/10 of the Law

During a routine traffic stop in Austintown, Ohio, a police officer smelled what he believed to be marijuana coming from the car. The vehicle and the driver, Damien Clark Jr., 20, were searched, and officers found alleged loose marijuana on the car’s floor. They also found a small bag of suspected cocaine in his sock — and Clark allegedly said, “these aren’t my socks.” Once he was taken into custody, officers found prescription drugs in his pants, along with a white powder in a torn bag in his shirt. According to police, Clark asked them to throw it away because “someone gave me the pills to hold; we were at a party.” They also found a pill in his left sock, which Clark allegedly said he “forgot that was in there.” (MS/WJW Cleveland) ...Easy to do: he also forgot that it was his sock.
