Revised Code of Washington 9A.32.050
A man in Belfair, Wash., went to the property next door to his home where he runs a business. He found someone had broken in to that building, and was taking a shower. Rather than call 911, the property owner went back home, got a gun, and returned to the business property, where he “fired multiple rounds into the shower,” said Mason County Sheriff’s Lt. Travis Adams, “killing the intruder.” Only then did he call 911 to report that he had killed the man. Responding deputies arrested the still-unnamed homeowner, for second-degree murder. (RC/KOMO Seattle) ...RCW 9A.32.050 defines second-degree murder as intentional killing “without premeditation.” Just how long a jog was it to the house and back?Original Publication Date: 02 April 2017
