Sacked
Just before 2:00 a.m., an officer from the Royal Canadian Mounted Police pulled into a drive-thru in Lower Sackville, N.S., to get dinner. The driver in the car in front of him made a nice gesture: he tried to pay for the officer’s meal. “When the officer got out to explain to the driver that they appreciated the offer” but couldn’t accept, an RCMP spokesman said, the officer noticed the man was drunk. And his car was unregistered. And his license had been suspended. The unnamed 42-year-old driver was arrested.
