Police in Terre Haute, Ind., surrounded the house of a man reported to have killed his girlfriend, and shot someone else. The suspect, Mikey Reynolds, was in fact inside — but he escaped through a basement window, headed over to Walmart for some supplies, and came back, all without being detected by police. He then died in a shootout with SWAT officers. “I’m thankful no one else got killed,” said police chief John Plasse. “He could have very easily killed someone else. I’m upset that he got out of that perimeter, absolutely. But I’m more thankful that something else bad didn’t happen.” Investigators didn’t say what Reynolds bought at Walmart, other than “general items.” (RC/WTHI Terre Haute) ...Luckily, the store was out of ammo.Original Publication Date: 08 April 2018
