Sins of the Flesh

Manuel Arturo Vasquez, 54, pleaded guilty to “video voyeurism” after he planted a camera in the closet of a teenaged family member. The girl found the camera herself, and checked its contents: it included a video of herself — and one of Vasquez planting the camera. He was sentenced to 5 years of probation and ordered to undergo counseling. Vasquez also resigned from his job: he was the chair of the University of Florida’s religion department, and taught religion at the university for 22 years.
