Sleepless from Seattle
Police in South Deerfield, Mass., received a call about Gary Robbins: a “Circle K Employee noticed something was up, that wasn’t normal,” said officer Adam Sokoloski. “He was running around the parking lot and was confrontational.” According to Sokoloski, Robbins also threw his credit cards into the semi’s fuel tank, and had locked himself out of the truck and was trying to climb back into the cab through the space between the cab and trailer. Robbins was fueling his truck after dropping off a shipment he had hauled from Seattle, Wash. Robbins had also apparently not slept since he’d started his nearly 3,000-mile trip, allegedly fueled by crystal methamphetamine, LSD, and cocaine. “It appeared the driver didn’t rest,” a department spokesman said. “Only used drugs, and he drove from Seattle, Wash., to Deerfield, with a destination on the East Coast.” Robbins was hospitalized pending a court appearance. Sokoloski praised the actions of the Circle K employee who notified the police. “If you see someone acting strangely,” he advised, “feel free to give the local police department a call.” (MS/Greenfield Recorder) ...People acting strangely in a convenience store?
