They Deliver, Too
Dave Kendall drives a van for the Church of Christ Within in Stockton, Calif. His job is to give rides to people who can’t afford regular transportation. Two men asked for a ride to the county jail to visit an inmate. Kendall let them in, but told them they had to wait until he gave someone else a ride first. They didn’t want any delay. “They basically punched me in the head a few times, kicked me a few times, grabbed the keys and ran,” Kendall says. He called the police, who didn’t have to do much to catch the men: sure enough, they showed up at the jail. Cortez Craig, 55, and Cornell Moses, 31, were arrested on felony carjacking charges, and booked right in to the jail. (RC/KTXL Sacramento) ...I wonder if they were planning to visit their friend for 3–5 years?Original Publication Date: 24 June 2012
