Amado Cardenas, 45, was angry at his ex-girlfriend, so he allegedly went to her Stock Island, Fla., apartment complex, broke in, and ransacked the place. According to investigators, he helped himself to alcoholic beverages, went through the woman’s drawers for cash and medications, and tried to pry a flat-screen television from its mount. He then fell asleep on the floor, where he remained until his ex-girlfriend’s neighbor came home, discovered him, and called the police. Cardenas had broken into the wrong apartment.
