Wheaton’s Law

Melody Lenox received a gift of candy, but it appears they were not to her taste. They came from Dicks By Mail, and you can guess how they were shaped. She’s suing DBM, demanding the name, address, and phone number of the person who ordered them for her. She says the candies were harassment — she works in human resources — and that her harasser might have keyed her car and posted about her on Craigslist. DBM says in its terms that you shouldn’t use the service to harass people. Lenox wants to “put an end to the harassment” she’s received. (AC/Dallas Morning News) ...I wonder whether “putting an end to harassment” is how an HR person becomes its target.
