Where There’s Smoke, There’s Fire
Police in Austin, Texas, responded to a domestic disturbance. When they arrived and knocked at the front door, a woman shouted, “He won’t let me answer the door! He won’t let me go!” They kicked down the door to find the tussle was between a woman and her 20-year-old son, who had allegedly set fire to a rug. Fire crews were called in to extinguish the blaze. Scout Anthony Thomas Hodge set the fire, he told officers, to make a “political statement” — because he had been watching a TV show about politics that put him in a “bad mood” — and to prove he wasn’t a loser. He was arrested and charged with arson and unlawful restraint. (RC/KEYE Austin) ...What a loser.Original Publication Date: 14 February 2016
