Think Outside the Bun

Brandon Jones went back into a Kilgore, Texas, Taco Bueno after the restaurant had left out his son’s kid’s meal — leaving his car running in the parking lot. “I ran back up there and didn’t think anything about it. Left it running right there by the door so I could get his food and come home and eat,” Jones said. That’s when Courtney Wheat, 30, allegedly jumped into Jones’s car and took off. Thankfully, workers in the restaurant were able to identify Wheat — from the job application he’d just completed. “The lady was like, ‘he just put in an application’,” Jones said. “And I was like, ‘are you serious?’” Police got Wheat’s name and the car’s description, and were able to locate and arrest him. “Who goes and applies for a job and then steals a car in the parking lot?” said a Kilgore police spokesman. (MS/KLTV Tyler) ...The kind of person who won’t be working at Taco Bueno.
