Who Needs a White Bronco when You’re a Black Heifer

An employee at Anderson Custom Pack in Pocatello, Idaho, was preparing to slaughter one of their cows when the cow bolted. The black heifer jumped the 6-foot fence and ran down the road. Employees called 911 and the Pocatello police and animal control officers started pursuit. During the chase, the cow bolted through roadblocks, caused multiple vehicle accidents, rammed an animal control truck and two police cars, and kept running even after being shot in the head by an officer. A second shot finally killed the animal, and she was loaded into a truck and returned to the meat processor. Pocatello Police Chief Scott Marchand said the two shots taken were justified because of the safety risk the animal posed. He also said he’s very thankful the pursuit ended with no human injuries. (MS/Idaho State Journal) ...Thats what she gets for trying to grab life by the horns.
