A teacher at Fort Pierce (Fla.) Central High School has been arrested for allegedly stealing $512 from the school. Not a lot — especially compared to what she allegedly stole from her own students: more than $3,000. The school’s bookkeeper noticed the shortages after two school fundraisers, and called in the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office. Sharonda Johnson, 47, was charged with nine counts of grand theft, two of petty theft, and two of tampering with a witness for allegedly telling one student that if anyone asked about giving the teacher money, the student should say “you don’t remember.” What did Johnson teach?
