Medical marijuana is legal in New Mexico. When Albuquerque police went to arrest Ginger Sharpe on a probation violation, she countered that her drug use was legal — she claimed to have a “medical meth” prescription, and showed them a bottle of methamphetamine tablets, supposedly authorized by a doctor in Farmington.
