“A” for Effort
A man walked into a Family Dollar store in Youngstown, Ohio, and handed the clerk a note. The clerk couldn’t read the poor handwriting and handed the note back to the man, asking him to read it aloud. He did so: “This is a robbery, please be quiet. Don’t let your pride get you killed.” The clerk gave the man money from the register, and a pack of cigarettes. Police were able to identify Dion Taylor, 22, from the surveillance video. He was arrested and charged with the robbery.
