“If”?
Charles Ross’s Youtube channel has more than a half million subscribers — people who apparently enjoy watching his videos of him doing pranks. He sometimes goes too far for a laugh, though: he has been arrested for his video of giving strangers “wedgies” — yanking on their underwear. Another time, he was arrested for streaking at a Tampa Bay Rays baseball game. The Bradenton, Fla., police know him pretty well, so they knew where to go to arrest Ross again, after he allegedly removed an “unnecessary” stop sign at a Bradenton intersection to get a video of the resulting chaos. “If I do a bad idea,” Ross told a reporter, “I want to own up to it and not make that same mistake twice.” By “owning up to it,” he apparently means starting an online funding campaign to help pay his legal bills. “Everybody likes to see comedy online,” says a police spokesman, “but again, there’s a fine line between funny and dangerous.” (RC/WTSP Tampa) ...Or, in this case, a double-yellow line.Original Publication Date: 21 May 2017
